UX Writing at Inspectorio

Inspectorio is a scale up headquartered in the US. They specialise in creating a suite of supply-chain solutions for retailers, factories, and manufacturers. My role as the first and only UX Writer is to help the company standardise copy across their products.

  • Mobile app copy: contextual microcopy, user flow screen transition, task-focused writing

  • New landing page: IA & content structure, content strategy, messaging and hierarchy

  • Content design: UX writing & microcopy, UX principles, content strategy

Mobile app copy

Brief: Inspectorio added a mobile assessment feature so users could complete assessments on their phone — but the mobile experience had to mirror the existing desktop flow.

Challenge: Make it easy for users to understand where they are in the assessment flow — without changing any of the logic or key terms like "Complete assessment", "Submit assessment", or "Workflow". The catch: users had already flagged the flow as confusing.

Solution:

  1. Improve the information hierarchy and update the step indicators with contextual copy to clarify that each step is part of the assessment to help keep users oriented throughout the flow.

  2. Add copy before key action points to to reassure users they can still edit their response — reducing uncertainty at a common point of hesitation in the flow.

My role was to work with the lead designer on this project, have regular syncs, and ask them to walk through the design progress and rationale with me.

New landing page

Brief: The product team introduced a post-login landing page to help users find their assessments faster. Before this, users struggled to locate where to start — the landing page was designed to surface the most relevant actions and guide users to their next step.

Challenge: Make it easy for users to find and start their assessments from the moment they log in — without changing any of the underlying logic or key terms like "Complete assessment", "Submit assessment", or "Workflow".

Solution: Redesigned the tile grid, merged key tiles, and refined the header copy to surface the most relevant actions.

My role: Collaborated with the lead designer as the content and copy lead — attending regular syncs and reviewing design progress to ensure the copy supported the overall UX direction.
